Rona Joy
You can’t help but see the joy and hope in Rona’s eyes. Rona is a multi awarded 11th grade student in a Public Elementary school in Muntinlupa City. Despite her living conditions and her parent’s financial struggles, she continues to be consistent in being the top student in her class. Her familily’s inability to provide for her needs is not a hindrance for her to excel in her gifts and strive for a better future through education.
Randy
Meet Randy, an unassuming 8 year old 3rd grader who dreams to be an engineer when he grows up. His parents can barely afford food on the table but that doesn’t stop Randy from doing his best and being one of the top performers in his class. In his spare time he loves to read and watch movies, and dream, about the bright future ahead of him.
Joaquin Marco
Joaquin is a 12 year old 7th grader who dreams to be a policeman one day. Both his parents are currently unemployed due to the ongoing pandemic and since online classes are being mandated, he panicked since the family couldn’t afford to buy the tech gadgets they need in order to access learning modules. Their everyday needs are a constant struggle, but he is undeterred and remain focused on his goals, to finish school and make his parents proud.
Calvin
Calvin is an 8 year old 3rd grader. He’s also aspiring to be a law enforcement officer when he grows up. Despite his living conditions, he continues to have a positive outlook in life and continues to hope that one day, his life, his family’s fortunes, will turn around for the better. Until then, he continues to grind and be the best student he can be, to learn from others, and also be able to help those around him.
